During an emergency management briefing this afternoon, Governor Roy Cooper announced that North Carolina’s public schools will remain closed for students until at least Friday, May 15, 2020.
In conjunction with ongoing efforts to promote good public health and reduce the risk of illness, all Rutherford County Schools facilities are closed to visitors and other members of the general public, beginning Friday, March 20, 2020 and continuing until further notice. Though this facility is closed, school personnel remain happy to assist you by phone.

RCS will offer school nutrition services for all Rutherford County children ages 0-18 during the school closure. Drive-thru pick-ups will be available at each school beginning March 17 from 10am-1pm.
